Thursday, September 21st, 1 pm, Tashlich. The word, Tashlich, comes from the root, to send off, or, to send out. This hands-on ritual brings us down to the water's edge to symbolically cast off the past year's challenge and welcome in the open vista of the new year's possibilities. We will walk our way down to the shores of Lake Champlain, following the children who will lead the way, and together we will send out bread crumbs to symbolize the crumbs that are left from last year. Tashlich has become one of the beloved events of welcoming in the New Year.
