We will build our sukkah on Sunday, October 1st, beginning at 9 am. Please bring harvest-y decorations for our sukkah, which we'll build at synagogue. Snacks and coffee will be served! Children welcome! The holiday will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 4th and continue until the 11th. This annual harvest festival was the most important pilgrimage holiday of the ancient world. Described in the Talmud as hosting acrobats and fire-spinners, it contained the essential rituals that would invoke the rains to be plentiful and timely.
